Writing Workshop: “SITTING ON A WORD”

Writing workshop led by Corrie Koppedraijer and Jenneke ter Horst

26th August to 2nd September 2017

Silence creates words. Words that come forward hesitantly, spinning, stuttering, tearing, singing or ultimately silenced; but come to be compelling once again. Words looking for a form of expression. Many people who come to a lecture, workshop or retreat carry a special notebook with them to capture and express what they experience, hear or see. The question is, what can be captured in words? In this writing workshop we give the word to the word itself.

The workshop is intended for anyone who loves words and wants to give them some form.

Programme

The programme is open, but there are some fixed points in the day: a morning meditation as a warm-up and an evening meditation as a closer. We write individually but also collectively.

Use can be made of other forms of expression as drawing, painting, etc.
The writing process is discussed daily in a conversation or lesson.
Undoubtedly the beautiful natural surroundings of Les Gavatxes will play a role in our imaginative wanderings.
